Supporting Student Success through Mentorship, Practicum Supervision, & Experiential Learning
This documents my approach to supporting student success through mentorship, practicum supervision, and applied learning. Drawing on more than a decade of work at the intersection of advocacy, public health, and higher education, it describes how I work with undergraduate and graduate students to bridge academic learning with real-world policy, leadership, and systems change.
The resource highlights mentorship across disciplines—including law, public health, journalism, history, and social sciences—along with structured practicum supervision and collaboration with academic and advocacy partners. Throughout, the emphasis is on ethical engagement, accountability to impacted communities, and helping students understand how institutions function in practice.
This document is offered as part of the Higher Education & Mentorship Hub and reflects a broader commitment to making mentorship and leadership development accessible to students navigating justice-oriented and public-interest pathways.
